I agree with the breakout plays, especially with the bottom six, but to me the PP entries seem to be functioning alright, even though there were no chance of going to work on the PP this time around.
What bugs me the most so far this season is not the system as much as the all around sloppiness and the losing of puck battles and foot races. I believe that Gulutzan has a pretty decent system in place, but there is no obvious reason for the Flames to be behind the play so much as they have been early in this season. In all losses so far they have been outhustled by the opposing team and have basically failed to come up with any kind of answer. Poor passing plays, pucks bouncing away from sticks, sloppy zone exits. They sure need to clean that up.
