Pretty clear his ceiling is a 2nd line centre? Pretty clear some fans don't project young players well. Just because a young player has some struggles early in his career doesn't mean his upside is low. See Scheiffele. See Turris. See Backlund. See Pronger.
Too much impatience shown by some in this thread. Bennett was rated #1 in his draft year by CSS and Redline because he has a 2nd line centre upside right? His skill and potential didn't disappear. All players are different and not all players are finished products at age 20. Talk of his upside being limited is ridiculous. He may not put it all together but if he does he's one of the most purely skilled players on the team and his upside still remains a 1st line player.
Give the kid some time and show some patience. Most players don't peak by age 20.
