When Johnny's hands were getting hacked last season not a single person piped up how great it was the team did nothing, or how great it was the Flames didn't get a penalty on Staal's slash. The universal attitude on CP was that not only should it have been called a penalty, but someone should have paid the price on the opposing team.
Why is this different now? Our captain literally got cross checked and people are expecting Brouwer to...skate away? To turn the other cheek like the team did when Gaudreau got hacked? Brouwer got hung to dry with his comments afterwards about it being normal. "You were brought here to do something about this'' screamed the people. Well folks, Brouwer did something. He sent a message about it being unacceptable.
