I heard GG on the radio and he was saying that the league has changed the criteria for "shots on goal". If the puck has any chance of going in it is consider a shot, the example was the puck coming in and the goalie playing it with his stick. Previously these would not be shots, not they are because is the goalie wasn't there the puck could have gone in.
