I can see how that would suck, but if there are no beds, then there are no beds. What are they supposed to do? Kick somone out with a life threatening illness?
BTW, it is not uncommon for a woman to have to carry a dead baby until she goes into labour natually because of certain risks inolved in inducing labour.
