What a thrill that one was. Flames played a very methodical game, demonstrating some team maturity we don't often see. They weren't dominant, but they were consistently engaged across all situations.
Bartkowski very underrated. He's been very good each game.
Whole blueline was excellent tonight. Giordano's best game so far. Brodie really feeling it.
Bennett is a perplexing player.
Glass has been very serviceable. Excellent 4th liner.
Nice having that Gaudreau-Versteeg swap option - it has kickstarted the offense each of the last two games.
Backlund line was the best throughout the night so it was fitting that he scored the second one. Tkachuk one of the best players on the wall in the league.
Smith was very very good, but thought Gibson was the reason this wasn't a more decisive win for the Flames.
This team seems legit thus far. They have some swagger and are organized.
