Brouwer will simply be bought out next off-season or the off-season after that one. It will depend if they think the cap savings next season will be needed. If they re-sign Backlund, the savings from Stajan's contract expiring should be good enough to cover that. Bennett and Tkachuk don't need new contracts for two more seasons. So they might be able to delay the buy out until before the 2019-20 season.
