Actually access is quite poor, ahead of only the US amoung developed countries. Its probably the biggest weakness of our system.
Prescription drugs, Birth Control, Vision, Dental, Physio/recovery services beyond a minimal amount are all not coverd. I believe only about 50% of Canadian spending on health care services is covered by government.
Our access only looks good relative to the US.
