You want someone who can hit? Get an effective NHL player who also happens to hit - not one who can hit and do nothing else.
Yeah, it's our 4th line, so the impact is hopefully minimal - but it's still a big failure by the organization, and a slap in the face to Jankowski.

Lol. So much drama and hyperbole that isn't required. We'll see if this is just a short term numbers move or if they truly don't think he earned his spot yet. But if it's the former, it's a far cry from a slap in the face or a poor move by the organization. It's actually an astute move to optimize the teams assets.
It amazes me how litteral people take things and how much instant gratification is required. Do people actually want the team to not make optimizing decisions just so that Janko can make the roster on day one, versus day 2 or 3 or 4 or even 10? Do people honestly think that the team won't manage the situation with Janko properly, and that he isn't mature enough to understand and be excited to go when he gets his opportunity. This happens every year. People #### their pants over the "symbolism" of the opening day roster.
Sure glad the players and the management of this team have more patience and foresight than many on here or they'd constantly be miss managing our assets over symbolism and hurt feelings.
