Boom:
Bennett has his breakout season. With or without the Brouwer anchor he's going to have a big year, and even if he does get the anchor he'll show he can overcome it.
Honourable mention to Brodie who returns to form now he has a real partner instead of Stone/Wideman/Engelland.
Bust:
Lazar shows nothing and spends much of the season in fourth-line/popcorn duty. Unnecessary loss of a second-round pick.
Honourable mention to Smith who plays at Ramo level, which doesn't ruin the Flames' season, but leaves the team again wishing for above average goaltending. Meanwhile, Darling and Raanta both shine.
