Monahan isn't on the list because he isn't good enough to be on the list. There are fewer then 20 centres listed and he isn't in the top 20 of centres on the NHL. Which is a problem for the Flames. Every top centre from a cup winning team in the last decade is on the list. Except E. Staal and Datsyuk, both guys that would be near the top in their prime. Hopefully Monahan or Bennett take a big step forward this season.
