He was the face of the league or at the very least, one of the faces when I started watching hockey. Definitely one of the most dynamic and entertaining players of his generation and he absolutely deserves to be in the HHOF for how he changed the landscape of the game. It's too bad he was born in the wrong era because he would have a lengthy and productive career in today's NHL with out all the head hunting.
It's scary how bad the concussions have affected not only his career, but his life. Seems like he's in a good place now and hopefully he can find a way back in to hockey in some capacity now that the league has started to take concussions more seriously.
