But I need some unbiased chap to inform me on this whole Draisaitl thing. Yes he broke out last year, yes 77pts is nothing to sniff at, but this meteoric rise to the top of peoples lists has to be largely stat based doesn't it? I have hardly watched the guy play, so maybe I'm out to lunch, but it feels like he is bring grossly overrated. For reference, I feel the same way about Kucherov.

I can understand if you don't watch a lot of Tampa games, but Kucherov was a monster last year. Tampa was playing their 6th Center on the 1st line and Kucherov pretty much put that team on his back and put them within 2 points of the playoffs or something. 85 pts in 74 games....without another elite option is pretty crazy.
Stamkos, Johnson, Namestnikov, Filppula (trade), Boyle (trade) were all gone....he had Brayden Point playing Center for the latter part of the season.
Truly remarkable. I think he has an outside chance at 95+ points this season.
