Let's look at his last 3 seasons isntead of his last 2.
139th in the league in points over that time frame, behind guys like Anders Lee, Vince Trochek, Kevin Hayes, Adam Henrique, Jussi Jokinen and Jarome Iginla.
I like Backlund just fine, but he's been outscored by Dougie Hamilton, a defender, over the last 3 years.
