I haven't noticed him being exceptional defensively, but even if he was this would remain a disappointing training camp for him in my opinion. Seeing him struggle to generate anything offensively even against other team's prospects leads me to believe that we are going to see more of the same from his seasons in Ottawa. A fourth line/bubble player.

I doubt he has played himself off of the NHL roster, but I certainly wouldn't be playing him in anything other than an energy role. Hopefully he proves me wrong and plays really well throughout the remainder of the preseason and realizes some of the potential that enticed two teams to spend high draft picks on him. As it stands I remain doubtful that he will turn into a long term piece as Treliving has suggested.
