I'm also curious as to what kind of staff a charter airline would have in another city "just incase" of mechanical problems. It's not like they fly regularly scheduled routes out of Calgary like WestJet, AirCanada, and AirCanada Jazz (I'm assuming) so it's not like they'd have a complete compliment of staff at the airport able to accomodate them. I'm willing to bet the staff on hand knew just as much as the passangers. The ones who'd have extra info to share (like the pilots) would have been busy with the process of getting the plane in the air.
