Doctors are estimating her time at Foothills to be between 6 months and a year and a half. Her husband will be living out of a suitcase for the duration, since they live in Lethbridge. He'd rather stay right beside the hospital in a hotel (covered by insurance, apparently) then stay 20 minutes away at my place. That's a rough life.
Thankfully you are near by and can give the husband lots of emotional support. He sounds like a very loving and caring man. I agree it's rough life and hopefully your support will make it easier for him to bear.
