King's job is to advance positions that benefit the Flames. To push the envelope. To squeeze leverage points. That includes advancing positions that you know are unlikely or, at times, a stretch.
Look at the animosity King is generating. The CP thread is calling for his head. That's being launched at King and only a little bit at Edwards.
I think King is doing exactly what is expected at this point of the negotiation.

I guess that's fair ... let him be the target of disdain. But is that working? Don't see the club ownership getting a pass in this debate.
Either way the city had a better week than the Flames in the PR department in my mind.
