I have heard Nenshi's refrain a million times and I agree with it. I think it's ridiculous handing out taxpayer money to pro sports owners.
The brutal reality though is that it happens all the time and I'm not going to ridicule fans who would not object to seeing the city of Calgary do what other cities have done.
