Do the Molsons not still own the Canadians?
EDIT: read up on this. Sounds more like just terrible business moves by the Molsons then anything. They sold the thing and then the new owner sold it back to them 8 years later for three times the price. So there wasn't an immediate appreciation in value, but it clearly happened.
