I dont know, its kind of crappy. You could tell it was accidental, but it was still a straight-red which means its 3 matches.
What do you do? I cant argue that it didnt merit a straight red. In my opinion it certainly did. But does it merit 2 more matches on top of that? Considering that most would see it as accidental rather than malicious?
But those are the punishment for a straight red and theres no regulation indicating a lighter punishment for seemingly non-intentional incidents.
I'm guessing the appeal was a 'Hail Mary' but at least they tried. I can see where they're coming from but the rules are the rules.
