I don't think he's a defensive centre. He's a two way centre. He'll likely be their #1 centre next season. You make it sound like he's a 3rd line centre for life.

He isn't a defensive centre, you seem to misunderstand his role or upside. You seem to misunderstand how useful +/- is in terms of analyzing players on the worst teams in the league.
But w/e. I'll never convince you otherwise. Like I said his play likely will unless you want to stubbornly stick your view of him being a defensive centre who is average defensively. As far as saying he sucks basically you are in a backhanded way, I don't have to put any words in your mouth, you already did.
We can continue to follow his career and see who is right. I'll stick by my stance that you and some others in this thread are underrating his current ability and his future ability.
