And, most certantly, Elton John. He is preaching discrimination against religion to argue against descrimination against gays. That is the very height of hypocricy, not to mention an incredible show of arrogance.

Completely agree. Its seems to be quite a self serving statement for Elton John as well. And while the majority of religions to not view homosexual activity as moral, there are many religions, some even mainstream that to allow it and accept gays and lesbians into their community. Furthermore, many people who are involved with religions that do no accept homosexuals are working hard to change the views of their churches.
He is painting everyone with the same brush. Totally unfair.
