I wasn't allowed to play with GI Joe toys, but from what I remember, that cartoon sucked anyway.
One of the collest toys I had was this kit for racing marbles. One of those toys that probably costs a small fortune at the "educational" toy store, but this one was really sweet. You'd construct a small roller coaster-thing with all sorts of different obstacles and a few different paths, and launch the marbles through the thing.
I was such a stats nerd back then I used to name all the marbles and keep stat logs of how they did on the various tracks I built for them.
