I'm sorry but when you are a veteran near the end of your carreer, don't have a lot, if any, suitors then they should be signing PTO's. At most league minimum salaries with bonuses. They are the ones that need to prove they can still play. Management is not going to cut you if you deserve to be on the team.
But Jagr can still play. He had 46 points last year. Matthew Tkachuk only outscored 45 year old Jaromir Jagr by 2 points.

Jagr wants/wanted a reasonable amount of money for what he offers. 1 year, between 2-3M, hopefully closer to 2 than 3.

What he doesn't deserve is a PTO. He was 4th in team scoring last year - he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
