Show him some respect? Giordano's a great player, but it's not
unreasonable to think that he
might be traded while his value is still high. If it becomes clear that one of those prospects is ready to bust down that door, then it might be rather prudent of Treliving or whoever the GM is to get a return on that asset to rebuild on the fly, so to speak, while allowing a prospect to flourish in the top-4.
I'm not saying they
should trade Gio, and they definitely shouldn't this year. But maybe in a couple of years, they will, and so why not discuss this?
