The legal ramifications of just handing someone 75k because you thought you owed it to them, but didn't? Probably you'd ask for it back, and if they refused, you'd sue them for unjust enrichment. Maybe in some circumstances you could argue for a presumption of resulting trust or something.

The legal ramifications of selling someone something that turns out to be worth a lot more than you thought it was? Pretty sure you're just hosed, on that one.
