Didn't intend to question Milos' work ethic, I know he puts in tremendous effort and has a ridiculously large team to try and be the best he can be.

I watched a ton of tennis during the Agassi/Sampras era. Admittedly far less in recent years. I tried to stop watching Raonic because the evidence suggested I was a jinx. Would tune in for his big matches to see him falter. I have seen his run around bomb forehand leave players helpless but I've also seen it backfire against top level players like Murray or Federer who block it back into the open court.

One thing I love about Raonic is his consumate professionalism and attitude on the court. I grew up in competitive tennis and quite often top tennis player are usually like the worst kind of people. Arrogant, entitled, narcissistic, elitist.

Love how Raonic carries himself on and off the court. It's kind of funny how his greatest success came working with McEnroe, the antithesis of his respectful behaviour.

Not seen a lot of Shapovalov to this point. But last night was the first match in a while I scheduled time to watch live and stayed tuned for every point. A treat to watch.

So in summation: Love Raonic- especially his character. His backhand game makes me cringe, probably because I grew up idolizing Agassi. But I feel like an all-round game is required to beat the best at their best (the big 4).

Thus it's exciting to see Shapovalov on the rise. As even though he's raw, shows incredible promise.

Also love this thread with its tennis knowledge and insightful, respectful discourse.
