The NHL pension used to pay pennies compared to NFL/NBA/MLB so it was a big thing fought for in the last CBA.
IIRC from the last CBA stuff, they can start collecting at age 45 (he's got 10 years left to burn his millions from his NHL career) and then it goes up every year until the maximum of $255,000/year which starts at age 62.
