How do the Dragons achieve flight? One must assume they have hollow bones (except for perhaps their skulls, as we've seen with the ballista demo by Cersei and company). Making up for the lighter bones would be the armour, the scales that harden over time. Obviously those are some sort of Westeros carbon fibre style living material.
Now we now why airplanes fly (Bernouli's theorem and all that), and why helicopters fly (they are so ugly the earth repels them), but how does the dragon achieve flight? I can only come to the conclusion that a wizard made it happen.
I'm also willing to go with insane wing strength to lift off and then while in flight their bodies are shaped so as to have some lifting qualities too (like many fighter designs incorporate now).
