However, you have to admit that whatever the number or the metric is you cant ride a goalie hard and put him away wet. There has to be balance.
Even Cup-Winning goalies need a break from time to time, and even then their teams need a backup who can go in and break up the play even if it isnt the goalie's fault. It happens.
Goalies get replaced to shake things up if the team isnt playing well, if the alternative is terrible then its a backup plan eliminated from a coach's arsenal.
