All this is well and good, but Jagr's standing around the league is more dynamic than that. Lots of teams would take him if they A had roster spots or B had the money. Simply put lots of teams have a Jagr comparable already or a tight cap.
If there wasn't much interest he would have signed a contract sooner. My guess is that his camp is pitting a few teams against each other for term and cash.
I can imagine that BT will spend to the cap no matter what, I personally would rather that money be spent on Jagr than a player like Chaisson. Still, my gut feeling is that this is a non issue because Jagr wont sign with calagry.
