What evidence do you have to support this when Jagr was 109th in forward scoring last season or an upper echelon 2nd line forward. He outscored guys like Nugent-Hopkins, Frolik, Duchene, Staal and Zajac. Is there no room left in the game for those guys either? He also has the best possession numbers of the bunch as well.

The stats speak for themselves:

@WheatNOil

Top TOI w/ Jagr

Corsi WITH Jagr / AWAY from Jagr
Barkov: 57% / 41%
Yandle: 53.6% / 48.8%
Ekblad: 56.7% / 49.3%
Huberdeau: 55.6% / 47.1%
Faster =! better. Yes you can make that argument for guys like Dany Heatley or Jonathan Cheechoo who relied on speed as a huge part of their game, but you can't say that for someone like Jagr. He's never been a burner. His game has never revolved around him having to outskate his opponents. He's a big body, with great puckskills and an elite mind for the game. That doesn't go away with age.
