I have been watching this and waiting because I'm worried that someone (United or Chelsea in particular) will try to swoop in before its a done deal. Apparently it's done now, but you just can't tell. But that figure has been thrown around a lot and apparently the legal issues are solved as well, as you say. Frankly this turned out brilliant for Spurs because they sold Walker and then upgraded and for roughly half the money.
Pochettino said yesterday that he was hoping for 4 players plus a keeper before the window closes. It will be interesting to see who the other two would be (Sanchez, Aurier and Gazza##### all assumed to be done). Barkely has been rumoured all summer of course, and unsurprisingly a whole host of others. I still think that both Wimmer and Sissoko are leaving and maybe even a guy like KWP on loan.
Regardless though, Spurs are doing some exciting things, and could look really impressive after this week.
