Pacific Beach is the proper beach to be at. I've stayed on that beach twice in the last year. Great times. Also, check out a Padres game. The team sucks, but the stadium is awesome and it's a really fun experience. Craft brewery tours there are awesome as well. They have SO MANY CRAFT BREWERIES you'd think residents would be drunk there 24/7.

If you've got kids, and you've got a free day, you should definitely check out the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It's about an hour NE of the city, but lots of fun. You can feed the giraffes and rhinos!

SD is a city that I'm hoping to move to one day, or at least buy some type of leisure property. My favourite place in California.
