^Jagr might be motivated personally to achieve a record, but you should never question his dedication to hockey. The biggest reason he's still playing is because he is so passionate about the game and passionate about winning as much as possible (several interviews I can recollect where this is his answer).
You don't play as a 45 year old if you're not an incredibly driven and passionate player. Think Chelios. Think Recchi. Jagr's character is comparable to those kinds of players. He's only become more driven over time, and is definitely not the same player mentally as he was in New York or Washington.
