I am all for giving Ferland a shot with Monahan and Gaudreau to start the year but if he falters the options to replace him are limited. Looking at Versteeg, Brouwer, an AHLer like Poirier/Foo, or moving Tkachuk to the RW or Bennett.
Adding Jagr gives the Flames another option on the top line if need be. Personally I think he is best suited to play with Bennett on the third line and help give him more socorng opportunities.

As I said in another topic I think the Flames should set duos but then experiment with the other wingers and look for a good fit in camp. If Jagr is on board even more so.

xxxxx - Backlund - Frolik
xxxxx - Bennett - xxxxx
Not sure of who Bennett's pair is I guess, could be Versteeg, but then Versteeg can play both wings so you kind of want him in the float list.
