Im sure this happens more than we want to admit, especially as you said in smaller events. What surprises me is that Dogopolov is actually a good player, he beat Nadal once and gave Novak all he could handle at his very peak. I think the Dog even made it to 13th in the world, and according to the ATP website he has made 6.5 Million in his career.
