And now hearing Tursunov has withdrawn from the event after he went from a huge underdog of 5.5 to 1.57 this morning. Organizers were even considering cancelling the match before he pulled out.
I wonder if this story will blow up, it's very strange and undermines the entire sport. I don't know what the solution is but it seems like this isn't going away.

I'm actually surprised that we don't hear more of these incidents, to be honest. At the highest levels of tennis, there is no need for match fixing as the players are already making good money. However, at the challenger levels and below, you can definitely see how players could be enticed to throw a match. The real surprise to me here though is that this is an ATP 250 event, a tennis tourney that will have plenty of eyeballs on it especially just prior to the US Open.
