Serious question: How would these episodes have been received if HBO presented them as the final season. "Bad news - this is the last season of Game of Thrones. But it's so big, we're expanding it to thirteen episodes instead of 10. The first half of the season will air in 2017, with the final six episodes airing in 2018."
Would it matter to the general public? Same thing Breaking Bad and The Sopranos did when they ended, isn't it? Just wondering how it would color perceptions.
