The Kings @ 6th overall? Wtf? They're a lot closer to being a bottom 5 team than they are a top 5.

Since their Cup win in 2014, they've finished with 95, 102, and 86 points. They've lost Voynov, Williams, and Lucic over those years, and really have only added Toffoli. While Kopitar had an awful season last year and we should expect him to bounce back, Carter had his best season in 7 years at the age of 32, and will most definitely regress. It was unlucky for Quick to miss the majority of the season, but Budaj actually performed well for them, putting up nearly identical GAA and SV% to Quick's previous 2 seasons when he was healthy. Worth mentioning too that their top 3 D-men never missed a single game... will that happen again?

I just don't see how the author can justify a 14 point jump in the standings for the Kings, when most signs point to them getting worse, IMO.
