"If" it is true and I doubt it is, if the GM thinks he would make the team better and he turned it down, it's not a good thing.

"If" the complete rumour is true, he turned down Calgary because he already had an offer from Boston. So, according to the rumour, he would be in a position to turn down offers, no matter how butthurt certain fans may get afterwards.
Plus, if he picks Boston, it's to do with his house/family. Nothing to do with the cup at this point. So, why all the butthurt?
