Spoiler!
A few other thoughts on that episode:
-Sansa sending Brienne away seems like a regression in her character.
She had seemed like she'd smartened up enough to suss out that Littlefinger was making a play. Also, she seemed smart enough to have learned her lesson about the value of having Brienne around. Is this a part of her play against Littlefinger? She has left both herself and Arya seemingly vulnerable to him.
-The reactions of the wights to the kidnapping of one of their fellows suggests there's more to them than mindless aggression. They obviously react emotionally when the hound kicks that wight on the ground and they are all making an effort to save and untie that wight during the battle before the dragons show up.
-That one bear alone was powerful. Even with Dany having dragons, with the army of the dead having a dragon, giants, bears etc, they are going to be a formidable challenge for all the armies of Westeros.
-They spent a good bit of time playing up the Hound's fear of fire in this episode. Wonder how this is going to play out in the rest of his story. Will he need to overcome it in a battle against his brother? Overcoming fear of flames in order to save the lives of others as a completion of his arc?
-All those nameless soldiers who joined the magnificent seven on their trip north really ought to have been wearing red uniforms.
