For Trump this is not about 'repairing' Obamacare. Given his complete ignorance of what any these proposals actually contained, I don't think he has one iota of interest in the topic of health care (apart from the money it's costing him and his wealthy golfing buddies). As with many things that come out of this administration, I think the real answer is much more simple-minded and petty.
This whole thing is about the Trump and the GOP getting a 'win' over Obama. He and his minions I'm sure will reconvene and devise some other way to sabotage the current system so that it completely collapses and becomes unsustainable, thereby 'proving' his bizarre predictions to be true. And however they do it, they'll make sure it's at the expense of low and middle income taxpayers and not corporate elites like themselves.

Of course Trump has no interest in healthcare (or any other policy for that matter). That's exactly why repair can work, he'll sign whatever they put on his desk and he'll consider it "a win". Considering he's eating loss after loss, just signing anything will constitute a win for him. I also think now that the black man is gone, they'll remember that Obamacare is actually a Heritage Foundation idea, and will be happy to let the orange man sign effectively the same bill instead. The problem for them is Obamacare is actually popular now that people on the right realize it's also known as the ACA. Letting it collapse will have consequences as well, and as much as they'd like to pin it on Dems, the ruling party is always the one who takes the hit.
