The funny part is this "vibe" a few people keep talking about.
They're 100% making up said vibe and casting their own insecurities onto it creating something that isn't there.
If you listen to these full interviews (for example the one on Boston radio) Johnny is glowing when talking about what Calgary means to him, the opportunity he's gotten, the teammates, the direction etc.
That is a much more prevalent and genuine "vibe" if one is going to be discerned.
A few people have already mentioned it, but this is 100% an example of the inferiority complex of some in Canadian hockey fanbases and what makes them difficult markets to play in. It's much ado about nothing, reading into something that absolutely isn't there. It's dreadful to read.
