Yep. I don't think there's any way to overstate how big his story was.
Sucks that a double murderer is walking free but there's no doubt the severity of his current sentence was impacted by what had happened in Brentwood, which legally speaking is certainly not right.
Seeing the all the coverage on the common area televisions today brought back strong memories for me.
I was living in Calgary during the Bronco chase and remember shooting pool at a downtown bar while we watched it on television.
I was living in the US when the verdict was announced. I was in the lobby area of a Marriott hotel in Denver with over a hundred people watching. When the not guilty plea verdict was read, there was applause, people overcome with emotion and crying. I felt like I was living on another planet. I have a much greater appreciation today for why so many people felt the way they did.
