Signed til he's 35, and he's a top three in a pinch defenseman. I wouldn't take him over Gio, Brodie or Hamilton, and because of his age, I wouldn't take him over Hamonic.

Yeah, but beyond that Calgary's depth is better, I will obviously grant Talbot over Smith, but if Talbot can't replicate his miracle season next year, the Oilers will be holding lottery draft parties again. And Drai at 9 million if that's what he signs for could be a boat anchor for a guy that obviously looks good with McDavid but beyond average without him.
