I also remember that the next year the team completely fell apart, and the only positive is that we got Lanny.
I was pretty young, but I remember the dread of a playoff series because Atlanta had never won one in their 8 years in Georgia ... made the sweep in the first round pretty fun. Clinching the sweep on a Willi Plett slapper from center ice past Tony Esposito was hilarious.
