You can also load GPX files off of trailforks or google a ride you want to do and gpx and it may show up. Otherwise you need to be premium with Strava and can copy other riders GPX of the rides to see the best way to ride it and if you go off course your Garmin will start going ballistic. This is the likely old way I use.
