Philipp Grubauer, Joonas Korpisalo, Antii Raanta, Jimmy Howard, Peter Mrazek, Michal Neuvirth and Calvin Pickard just off the top of my head. I would have been happy as a clam in high water if Treliving had come away with Pickard or Grubauer and then supported him with a vet like Johnson or Elliott. But Smith and Lack? I still think our goaltending problem is that 1,000 pound gorilla on the back of this team, and it has just been compounded with the disruptive qualities of Smith's personality. Just my opinion, as someone who had to watch way too much of Mike Smith the last few years.

How do you know that he didn't take a run at those guys and found the price to be prohibitive? Moreover a guy like Mrazek was God awful last year. What makes him a viable option?
